Meliá Hotels International joins forces with Pryconsa Group to create Innside Valdebebas, the most modern hotel in the city
The hotel is part of an avant-garde complex of facilities, which will include a modern private hospital, in the fastest growing area in the north of the capital.
Meliá Hotels International and Grupo Pryconsa announced today the future opening of the Innside Madrid Valdebebas hotel, which hopes to become an icon of this flourishing residential area in the north of Madrid and an essential hotel for travellers and users of Madrid Airport, through which more than 60 million travellers pass in a normal year.
The project occupies a site strategically located between the Valdebebas development and the airport area, to which it will be connected by the spectacular “Concordia Bridge”, soon to be inaugurated, and is situated 10 minutes from Plaza de Castilla and 5 minutes from the IFEMA exhibition centre, in the vicinity of the best luxury residential areas in Madrid and Real Madrid’s Ciudad Deportiva, and also has the best road communications.
The complex is being developed by Saint Croix HI, the socimi of the Pryconsa group, with the latter acting as project manager for the construction process.
With 273 rooms and a futuristic design, the future INNSiDE Madrid Valdebebas will be an excellent exponent of the INNSiDE by Meliá brand, which groups together “life-style” hotels where the most up-to-date architecture and design are combined with the comfort and functionality sought by today’s travellers, whether in holiday or urban destinations; this versatility has made Innside the fastest growing brand in the Group worldwide, with 38 hotels currently in operation and another 8 in the construction and pre-opening phase, in a total of 18 countries. The most recently opened INNSiDE hotels include, also in Madrid, the Innside Madrid Gran Via (also in collaboration with the Pryconsa group), and in Europe, INNSiDE Liverpool, INNSiDE Newcastle, INNSiDE Luxembourg, INNSiDE Amsterdam, INNSiDE Milan, INNSiDE Paris Charles de Gaulle and the impressive Innside Frankfurt. It is also present in other destinations around the world such as New York, and in the coming years it expects to continue to grow with openings in Europe, America and Asia (where it operates 3 establishments under this brand, in Indonesia, China and Vietnam) with the opening at the end of the year of the INNSiDE Bangkok Sukhumvit.
For Gabriel Escarrer, Executive Vice President and CEO of Meliá Hotels International, “Innside Madrid Valdebebas will be a lifestyle hotel landmark in a purely urban environment: Its disruptive design, its unbeatable location and the personalised and intelligent service it will offer guests, add to the value that our brand brings to the properties, the result of our operational excellence, our service philosophy and our commercial and digital leadership, to create a unique product with excellent prospects; we are therefore particularly proud to be able to participate in this landmark project for the city of Madrid, and to have the confidence of a leader in the urban development of major Spanish cities such as Pryconsa, with whom we hope to carry out new operations in the future”.
For Marco Colomer, CEO of Socimi Saint Croix HI of the Pryconsa Group, “the alliance with Meliá in the project of this fantastic hotel will allow us to provide Valdebebas with an essential social and economic facility of the highest level, with the guarantees of a hotel leader that shares our values and the experience of the Pryconsa Group, with more than 56 years of history and a real estate leader in the Community of Madrid. The projection of this residential area, which foresees a parallel development of commercial and office activity and whose influence could reach half a million inhabitants, together with the natural traffic of the airport and IFEMA, make our vision of creating a state-of-the-art hotel and hospital, hand in hand with the best partners in both fields, a guaranteed success”.
